I have always been an "artsy" person and enjoy making things.  Most of the things I've made were for myself or friends and that is how my jewelry making started.  After a while, people started asking me if I could make a special piece of jewelry for them.  Either a mother's bracelet or a special necklace with a particular stone, something one couldn't just walk into a store and buy.  Before I knew it, I was in the "jewelry business".   I gave a lot of thought as to how to set up this website.  I really didn't want to offer a particular item and then churn out 20 copies of the same thing.  So, I finally decided to just have a website that would feature some examples of my work in the hope that you would see it and decide to contact me to make a special item for you.  I love each of the pieces I make.  As the owner and lover of a horse, I enjoy  making equestrian-themed jewelry;  every mother's bracelet is made knowing that a proud mother or grandmother will be wearing it and I love the combinations of names and various birthstones.  And the baby and child bracelets - they are just so sweet!  I enjoy nature and  working with gemstones and sterling to create unique necklaces, bracelets and earrings.  I hope the next time you need a special piece of jewelry, you will think of Black Horse Jewelry and together we can create just the item you want.

Black Horse Jewelry is located in the beautiful Bluegrass region of Central Kentucky and is named for my black Tennessee Walking Horse.  He is the greatest!  Besides making jewelry, I enjoy trail riding, the great outdoors,  the lake where our home is located, my dogs - and of course, spending time with my husband!
